Mike Banks (musician)

Mike Anthony Banks ( also "Mad Mike" called ) is an American techno producer from Detroit. He is head of the music project and labels Underground Resistance. Banks was a member of the Members Of House crew and published at the end of the 80s a track on the Virgin/10 compilation " Techno - The New Dance Sound Of Detroit ". During a latters radio show, he met Jeff Mills know. The discovered common tastes and modes of production of electronic music. On November 2, 1989, she jointly founded Underground Resistance ( UR short ).

Since the departure of Jeff Mills and Robert Hood in 1992, Mike Banks operates the only founding member of Underground Resistance continued ( along with some newer members ). Banks has since cared for many newer artists such as Suburban Knight ( James Pennington ), and Drexciya (DJ Rolando ).

His name tag "Mad " (Eng. crazy, insane ) comes from Banks radical political and business views that he has consistently. Banks, it is important that buyers of music publications, the end of philosophy behind it (see Underground Resistance ) and understand techno as an art form (instead of pure music to consume ). Plates he often illustrated with messages of the Unknown Writer ( Cornelius Harris).
