Mike Burns (soccer)

Michael Thomas " Mike" Burns ( born September 14, 1970 in Marlborough, Massachusetts, USA) is an American football international, who played in defense. He was active until 2002.

He played on the Hartwick College football from 1988-1991. In 1992 he was part of the U.S. Olympic team. In 1995, he played briefly in Denmark, the club Viborg FF.

In the MLS (Major League Soccer), he played between 1996 and 2002 for the clubs New England Revolution (108 games / 3 goals ), San Jose Earthquakes (18 games) and Kansas City Wizards (47 games).

He was a 1994 and 1998 in the World Cup squad at the World Championships.

Between 1992 and 1998 he played 75 times for the U.S. national team.
