Mike Card
Mike Card ( born February 18, 1986 in Kitchener, Ontario ) is a German - Canadian professional ice hockey player who stands in July 2013 in the Heilbronner Falken of the DEL2 under contract.
Career
MikeCard began his career as a hockey player with the Kelowna Rockets, for by 2006 he was active from 2002 in the Canadian top junior Western Hockey League. With the Rockets the defender won the 2003 and 2005 the President's Cup, and the 2004 Memorial Cup. During this period he was also selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 in the eighth round as a total 241 players from the Buffalo Sabres, for which he made his debut in the National Hockey League in the 2006/07 season, where he point in four games - and remained unpunished. The rest of the time spent playing the right shooter, however, as in the following season in Buffalo's farm team in the American Hockey League, the Rochester Americans. In addition, card was in a total of 15 games for the Florida Everblades in the ECHL on the ice, in which he scored nine points scorer, including two goals. In the 2008 /09 season card was shown exclusively for Buffalo's new AHL farm team, the Portland Pirates on, but has been used only 19 times.
In the summer of 2009 graduated Card, which also has a German passport, a trial with ERC Ingolstadt of the DEL, but was not required. Then, the Kassel Huskies took him at first for one month under the contract. A short time later, Card received a contract extension until the end of the season. In the season 2010/11 he was active for the Cologne Sharks. In July 2011, he joined the Italian first division club HC Alleghe. In August 2012, the German - Canadians signed a one year contract with the Swedish second division Tingsryds AIF from the HockeyAllsvenskan.
