Mike Colman

Michael " Mike" Colman (* August 4, 1968 in Stoneham, Massachusetts, † 5 April 1994 in Kansas City, Missouri ) was an American professional ice hockey player. During his career, the defender for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Kansas City Blades played in the International Hockey League.

Career

Colman played initially between 1987 and 1989 for the Humboldt Broncos in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and from 1989 to 1990 at Ferris State University. Before the season 1990/91 the ungedraftete Americans signed a professional contract with the Kansas City Blades, a team from the International Hockey League.

After appealing performances in his first professional season, the San Jose Sharks were that were previously entered into a cooperation with blades and in the season 1991/92 went to their first NHL season, pay attention to him. Colman spent the season as the year before, mainly in the IHL, but was also used for a total of 15 games in the NHL. He was able to prepare a goal. The seasons 1992/93 and 1993/94 he spent again completely in the farm team.

Shortly before the end of the 1993/94 season, April 5, 1994, Colman was involved in a car accident. The injuries suffered thereby were so strong that he succumbed selfsame little later.
