Mike Connors

Mike Connors ( born August 15, 1925 in Fresno, California as Krekor Ohanian ) is an American actor of Armenian descent.

Life

Connors was discovered during a basketball game at the University of the director William A. Wellman. From 1952 he played mainly supporting roles in film and television productions, including a brief appearance in 1956 in The Ten Commandments. He became known finally through the title role in the 1967 to 1975 produced detective series Mannix. In 1970 he was awarded the Golden Globe. Following followed mainly television films and guest appearances in series. The role of "Joe Mannix " he embodied again in 1997 in an episode of Diagnosis: Murder.
