Mike Curb

Michael Charles " Mike" Curb ( born December 24, 1944 in Savannah, Georgia ) is an American musician, composer, music publisher, racehorse owner and politician. Between 1979 and 1983 he was Deputy Governor of the State of California.

Career

Mike Curb College began after the first a career in the music industry. In the 1960s and 1970s, he made a name for himself as a composer of hits for various artists. He also wrote the music for several films. He founded with Curb Records and his own label. In the 1980s, he joined in the auto racing industry and held his own NASCAR racing team. This sport it is connected to this day. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. In 1977 he was a member of the National Executive Board.

1978 Curb was elected Lieutenant Governor of California. This post he held between 1979 and 1983. Yet he was Deputy Governor Jerry Brown and Democratic Chairman of the State Senate. During this time he had represented several times during his absence the governor. In 1982, he unsuccessfully sought the nomination of his party for the office of governor. Four years later, he applied equally without success to return to the office of lieutenant governor.
