Mike Hodges
Mike Hodges ( born July 23, 1932 in Bristol, England ) is a British film director and screenwriter.
Life and work
Hodges initially directed some episodes of British television series such as tempo and World in Action. In 1971 he succeeded with Get Carter made his breakthrough as a film director. The main role was played by Michael Caine, turned to see and also die Malta with the Hodges 1972.
1978 Hodges began with directed by Damien - Omen II, the sequel to The Omen, but after a falling out due to creative differences took over Don Taylor directed the film. Among his best known films Flash Gordon heard from the year 1980. 1994 he wrote the screenplay for the film experiment of horror and Others with Donald Sutherland in the title role.
Mike Hodges was married twice and has two children.
