Mike Johnson (ice hockey)

Michael Paul Johnson ( born October 3, 1974 in Scarborough, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played in the 2008 /09 season in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the Kölner Haie.

Career

Mike Johnson began his career in 1992 at the Aurora Eagles, a team from the former American Junior League Metro Junior Hockey League. From 1993 to 1997 he played for the University of team Bowling Green State University in leagues operation of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Motivated by the recommendation of his friend and former teammate Todd Warriner, Johnson decided in summer 2008 to a renewed move to Europe and signed a year contract with the Cologne Sharks. After unsatisfactory performance with only 13 points from 28 matches scorer in the league, the Sharks put him on 29 December 2008 from playing freely and swept him out of the squad. Then his contract was canceled by mutual consent in January 2009.
