Mike Lalor

Michael John Lalor ( born March 8, 1963 in Buffalo, New York ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals, Winnipeg Jets, San Jose Sharks and Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League.

Career

Lalor played for two years from 1981 to 1983 at the Brantford Alexanders in the Ontario Hockey League. Despite a successful last season in the OHL with 40 points in 65 games the defense has not been selected in one of the NHL Entry Drafts.

Thus he wrote in September 1983 ungedraftet and as a free agent a contract with the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League, which initially put him in their farm team in the American Hockey League. There he won with the Sherbrooke Candiens at the end of the 1984/85 season the Calder Cup, the championship of the AHL. For NHL 1985/86 the Americans made ​​it into the squad of the Montreal Canadiens and won at the end of the season with the team to the Stanley Cup. Lalor was then a further three years in Montreal before he was transferred in January 1989 to the St. Louis Blues. Internationally
