Mike McClure

Mike McClure ( born July 6, 1971) is an American country singer, songwriter and music producer. He was active with his band The Great Divide 1992 to 2003, and has been his departure as a solo artist or with the Mike McClure band. He is assisted by Tom Skinner on bass and Eric Hansen on drums.

Biography

McClure comes from Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He wrote his first song at the age of ten years. When he moved to Stillwater in 1990, he met in the "farm" other artists of the Red Dirt scene like Jimmy LaFave and Tom Skinner.

In 1992 he founded together with friends, the country band The Great Divide who released six albums from 1995 to 2002. The early 2000s, decided to McClure, to become independent of the group. While this was a new singer Micah Aills to McClure decided after the release of his solo album Twelve Pieces, again to join a band. Zusmammen with Tom Skinner and Eric Hansen, he founded the Mike McClure band that has been very active since 2004 and has released several albums. 2011 followed with 50 trillion his second album without the band. McClure writes his own songs and produces them as well.

McClure is one of the owners of the independent label 598 Records.

Private life

McClure lives in Ada, Oklahoma. He is married and father of two daughters.
