Mike Mogis

Mike Mogis is a producer and multi-instrumentalist from Nebraska, who along with his brother AJ Mogis the Presto! Recording Studios (formerly known as Dead Space Recording, before Whoopass Recording) has established.

Mike has developed, produced and performed many publications of the Saddle Creek label. He was involved in recordings of Bright Eyes, The Faint, Rilo Kiley, Cursive, The Good Life, Lullaby for the Working Class, Jenny Lewis, Tilly and the Wall and Elizabeth & The Catapult involved. In addition, he has produced an album with Rachael Yamagata.

He became a permanent member of Bright Eyes and he was both Lullaby for the Working Class and We'd Rather Be Flying band member. His main instrument is the guitar, but he also plays mandolin, banjo, pedal steel guitar, glockenspiel and dulcimer and other instruments. In the recent past, he worked with the former member of Test Icicles, Lightspeed Champion (aka Devonte Hynes ) whose debut album Falling Off the Lavender Bridge.

He has a daughter Stella, which can be heard alongside his wife Jessica on the Bright Eyes album Digital Ash in a Digital Urn.
