Mike Tindall

Michael James Tindall MBE ( born October 18, 1978 in Otley ) is an English rugby union player. He plays as an inner three-quarters for the English national team and Gloucester.

Tindall was at the Six Nations 2000 his debut for England against Ireland. He previously played in the 1999 World Cup squad but did not play. At the Grand Slam - winning England in the Six Nations 2003, he played a central role with the match-winning try against the Irish. In the following World Cup he played in six of seven games and was able to celebrate winning the title at the end of the tournament.

Following this success he was injured severely and was for some time out. When he returned, he was appointed vice-captain of the national team. This was followed by re-injury, so he both the 2007 World Cup and the Six Nations 2008 missed.

His father Phil was captain of the local rugby club Otley RUFC. Tindall is since 30 July 2011 with Zara Phillips, daughter of Princess Anne, married. On July 8, 2013 Buckingham Palace announced that the couple in 2014 his first child expected. The daughter Mia Grace came on 17 January 2014 Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to the world.
