Mike Weber
Mike Weber ( born December 16, 1987 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American professional ice hockey player standing since 2007 with the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League contract.
Career
Mike Weber played before his professional career working for the school team of Seneca Valley High School in Harmony, Pennsylvania. He was then obliged by the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League, for which he was for four years running. During the 2006/07 season the defense was delivered to the league rivals Barrie Colts. Previously had been elected in the second round than a total of 57 players from the Buffalo Sabres Mike Weber during the NHL Entry Draft in 2006.
His first season in professional hockey spent Weber then when the Sabres farm team, the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League. During the same season he made his debut in the National Hockey League, where he completed a total of 16 games in his first year and was able to contribute three assists for Buffalo. Twice he had been ordered back to beginning of the season of the Americans.
During the 2008/09 season was Weber both the squad of Sabres, as well as in the squad of the new farm team Buffalos, the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. The following season 2009/10 spent the Americans completely by the Pirates and collected there in 81 games five goals and 16 assists in the playoffs, he played all four matches of his team and headed in a goal at this time. The Pirates were defeated in the very first round of the Manchester Monarchs in the playoffs.
In 2010, Weber won a secure place in the ranks of the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL, this fact was reflected in the hitherto career high of 58 games in a season. With four goals and 13 assists, he supported his team well offensively. On 4 July 2011, the expiring contract of defender of the Buffalo Sabres over several years has been extended.
