Mikel Aranburu

Mikel Aranburu Eizagirre (born 18 February 1979 in Azpeitia, Basque Country ) is a retired Spanish footballer, who played in the Spanish Primera División with Real Sociedad.

Mikel Aranburu played in his entire career as a footballer in only one club - the Basque club Real Sociedad tradition. There, he played in the youth and from 1996 to 1998 at the B- team. But he was also appointed already in the first team as early as 1996. Due to its long-standing loyalty to the club, he is also team captain and role model for the fans. Since 2001 he has always had a regular place in the " Txurri Urdin " with the exception of the 2005/06 season, when he was repeatedly thrown back from injury.
