Mikhail Varnakov (ice hockey, born 1985)

Mikhail Mikhailovich Warnakow (Russian: Михаил Михайлович Варнаков; born March 1, 1985 in Gorky, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player standing since June 2013 at the Ak Bars Kazan of the Kontinental Hockey League contract. His father Mikhail was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Mikhail Warnakow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, for the second team in the 2001/ 02 season he was initially active in the third-class Perwaja league. He then moved to the youth department of the HK Dynamo Moscow, came in the 2002/03 season but even there only for Dynamos second team in the league Perwaja used, after which he returned to Nizhny Novgorod. In the 2003 / 04 season, the attacker was able to prevail in the professional team of Torpedo in the Super League, but had to descend into the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league suffered, with his team.

In the Wysschaja League Warnakow to become one of the leading players in Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod and he finally reached in the 2006/07 season with his team as second division champions the promotion back to the Super League. After another Super League season, he takes since the 2008/ 09 season in the game with torpedo operation of the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League. Also in the KHL he could his leadership role in the team support and scored in his first three seasons in the KHL - cut each in three games scoring a goal.

During the 2012/13 season he became the top performers in his team and became the KHL All-Star Game in 2013 invited. The end of January, 2013, after the torpedo had no chance of reaching the play-offs, Warnakow was delivered to the SKA Saint Petersburg. For the SKA, he scored to end of season 12 scorer points in 19 KHL games and was named KHL striker of February. In June 2013 he was engaged by Ak Bars Kazan.

Internationally

For Russia Warnakow took part in 2010 at the Euro Hockey Tour. He was point and impunity in two games.
