Mikk Murdvee

Mikk Murdvee ( born March 20, 1980 in Tallinn, Estonia) is an Estonian conductor, violinist and writer.

Life and Music

Mikk Murdvee, signed in 1998 by the renowned Tallinn Music High School ( Tallinna Muusikakeskkool ) from playing the violin. Teachers were his mother Niina Murdvee (* 1950) and the violinist Harald Aasa (* 1922). 1998/99 Murdvee studied the violin at the Estonian Music Academy in Tallinn and from 1999 to 2005 at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. In 2000 and from 2002 to 2007, he also studied orchestral conducting and choral conducting from 2005.

Mikk Murdvee conducted numerous orchestras in Finland and Estonia. In 2007, he debuted in the opera house and concert hall in Tallinn, Estonia. Since autumn 2007 Murdvee is chief conductor of the Helsinki Student Symphony Orchestra Ylioppilaskunnan Soittajat. He lives in Helsinki.

Under the pseudonym Mihkel Bravat occurs Mikk Murdvee since 1998 as a writer in appearance. As independent publications have appeared:

Private life

Mikk Murdvee is with the Finnish pianist Anna -Mari Murdvee (* 1980) married.
