Mikko Franck

Mikko Franck ( born April 1, 1979 in Helsinki) is a Finnish conductor.

Franck began to play the violin at the age of five and studied at the Sibelius Academy and the United States, Sweden and Israel conducting.

In August 2006, Franck began as Chief Conductor of the Finnish National Opera and joined the post on 14 February 2007.

Franck also took over the musical direction of the premiere of Iain Bell's opera A Harlot 's Progress ( libretto: Peter Ackroyd after the cycle A Harlot 's Progress by William Hogarth ), with the soprano Diana Damrau in the title role and directed by on October 13, 2013 Jens- Daniel Herzog premiered at the Theater an der Wien.
