Mil Mi-34

The Mil Mi -34 (Russian Миль Ми - 26) is a light helicopter with a piston engine drive. The first prototype made ​​its maiden flight in 1986. The Mi -34 was introduced in 1987 at the Air Show in Paris, and is supposed to roll the first helicopter of the Soviet Union, which is able to fly and loops.

The NATO code name for the Mi -34 is Hermit.

Variants

A variant with two 165 kW (220 hp) circle piston engines of the WAS- 430 is called Mil Mi- 34W or Mil Mi- 34WAS and is built in the WAS automobile plant in Togliatti. The first flight took place in 1993. The Mi- 34S2 Sapsan ( Peregrine Falcon ), powered by a Turbomeca Arrius2F will come on the market in 2011.
