Mila Haugová

Mila Haugová ( born June 14, 1942 in Budapest) is a Slovak poet and translator.

Life

In Czechoslovakia, designed for agronomist, she worked from 1986-1996 as an editor of the literary magazine Romboid. Mila Haugová is now living as a freelance writer in Bratislava and Levice.

The poet has been published eighteen books of poetry, which have been translated into English, French, Polish, Russian and German. In German language five books of poetry published, most recently the bilingual book " lullaby of wild animals " (2011).

As a translator, she has, among others Transmitted works of Mayröcker into Slovak.
