Milada Karbanová

Milada Karbanová (married Matoušová; born March 27, 1948 in Jablonec nad Nisou ) is a former Czechoslovak high jumper.

In 1971 she won at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Sofia and finished seventh at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki.

At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 she came to 22nd position. One bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships 1973 in Rotterdam in 1974 followed two silver medals at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg and at the European Championships in Rome.

In 1976 she won bronze at the European Indoor Championships in Munich, finishing at the Olympic Games in Montreal on the 19th place, 1978, she finished sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Milan.

The four times she was Czechoslovak champion in the open ( 1970, 1973, 1977, 1978 ) and Hall (1972, 1974, 1977, 1978). In 1974 she became Soviet champion hall.
