Milan Bor

Milan Bor ( b. 1936 in Prague, † 14 May 1998 in Munich) was a Czech -born engineer in film and television of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Life and work

Boron began his film career as an 18- year-old in child functions in the domestic Barrandov Studios. Due to the suppression of the Prague Spring in 1968 he fled to West Germany and eventually settled in Munich. His first work was Chief engineer include several operetta adaptations that were made ​​1974/75 for television ( ZDF). Immediately afterwards boron tied his first contact with young filmmakers circles and cared for the sound of Hans W. Geißendörfer Sternsteinhof.

His last major work should be Joseph Vilsmaier Stalingrad movie in winter 1991/92. 1993 boron suffered some hearing and then withdrew into private life. Milan Bor in 1987 awarded for his film performances with the Bavarian Film Prize.
