Milan Kymlicka

Milan Kymlicka ( born May 15, 1936 in Louny, Czechoslovakia, † October 9, 2008 in Toronto, Canada) was a Canadian composer and arranger.

Biography

Milan Kymlicka studied at the Prague Conservatory, at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and later became a pupil of Emil Hlobil. Until 1967, Kymlicka had in his home country composed music for more than 20 film, ballet and theater productions. With the Prague Spring, he emigrated to Canada, where he accepted in 1974 the Canadian citizenship. When public broadcaster CBC / Radio -Canada he quickly found work and began again to compose. Among his most famous compositions include his work on the television series Babar, Rupert and An American Tail & his friends.
