Mildred Griffiths

Mildred Griffiths ( born January 20, 1894 in California, † May 24, 1949 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American production designer who was nominated once for an Academy Award for Best Production Design.

Life

Mildred Griffiths worked 1943-1948 as production designer on the scenic features of thirteen films. At the Academy Awards in 1946, she was together with Cedric Gibbons, Urie McCleary and Edwin B. Willis for the Academy Award for Best Production Design in the color film Little Girl, Big Heart ( National Velvet, 1944) by Clarence Brown with Elizabeth Taylor, Mickey Rooney and Donald Crisp nominated.
