Mile High Stadium

The Mile High Stadium ( Bears Stadium until 1968 ) was a sports venue in Denver, Colorado, was played in baseball, football and American football. It was built in 1948 and stood until 2001.

The Mile High Stadium was originally built as Bears Stadium for minor league baseball and then had only 17,000 seats.

In the late 1950s, followed by extension measures that increased the capacity only to 23,100, then to 34 657 places. The Broncos took in 1961 on the operation of gambling and were able to enjoy excellent viewing figures, so that in 1968 built a top rank and so the capacity was increased to more than 50,000 spectators.
