Mile Kitić

Milojko " Mile " Kitić ( born January 1, 1952 in Donji Cerani in Derventa, SFR Yugoslavia, now Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is a Bosnian Serb turbo - folk singer. He is considered one of the most successful and popular singers in the Balkans.

Sources and beginnings in the music scene

He was born as Milojko Kitić near Derventa in Bosnia. At age 13, he moved to Ilijaš, where he owns two houses today. During the civil war in Yugoslavia, he fled from Ilijaš to Belgrade. His nephew died in the war, what his family and hit him very hard. In Belgrade, he got used to the more ( in Serbia mainly spoken ) to ekavischen dialect.

Since his school days Mile Kitić dealt with the music. He was in the school orchestra at the time bass player. In 1968, at the age of 16 years, Mile Kitić won the festival " Prvi glas Vogosca " with the song U svijetu sam zivot ostavio ( I left my life in the world back ).

When in 1974 his first single O gitaro recorded, he sang in the most expensive places Sarajevo. 1974-1980 he played in his band " Princevi " electric guitar. The band named themselves after a car, the NSU Prinz, who was produced in the 1970s in Yugoslavia.

Career

Among his fans, the time from 1984 to 1995 is considered Kitićs musically strongest phase. Not least because he has recorded a total of 12 albums with Juzni Vetar in this period. After his album Okreni jastuk (turning ' the pillow around, 1995 ) ended Kitić cooperation with Juzni Vetar. He has from his first marriage with his wife Bosiljka a daughter named Sanja. Today he lives with his second wife Marta Savić ( also singer ) and his second daughter Elena in Belgrade and has a second home in Hanover. He is now two-time grandfather through his daughter Sanja.

Mile Kitić sang his songs to 1991 with ijekavischem dialect, from 1992, he sings both in ekavischem, as well ijekavischem dialect.
