Milestones (Band)

Milestones were an Austrian music group that was founded in 1968. The founding members were Günther Gross Lercher, Beatrix Neundlinger, Robert Unterweger and Rudi Tinsobin.

In the show a chance in 1969, organized by the broadcasters Germany, Austria and Switzerland, they finished with the title 'Once ' ( G. Gross Lercher - M. Schreiber ) the first place. This track also appeared on the first single - the first LP followed in 1970.

In 1972 a radical shake-up: The members were now Beatrix Neundlinger, Günther Gross Lercher, Christian Kolonovits and Norbert Niedermayer. This occupation of the milestones represented Austria at the Euro Vision Song Contest in 1972 with ' butterfly in the wind ' (text by H. Unger - Music: Rigoni / Schönherz ) and finished in 5th place. Beatrix Neundlinger represented Austria again in the group Butterflies ( 1977), a year later Niedermayer sang in the group Springtime.

1973 played Chris van der Schyf drums, who was replaced in 1974 by Fritz Matzka.

1975, dissolved the band on - Beatrix Neundlinger and G. Gross Lercher the group joined butterflies on, Norbert Niedermayer of the band Springtime, and Christian Kolonovits resorted to composing and arranging.
