Milky Chance
Milky chance is a German pop-folk duo with jazz, reggae and soul influences consisting of Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch.
History
The two members come from Kassel, where they made on the Jacob -Grimm -Schule High School in 2012. At twelve, she played in a jazz quartet called Flown sound. They also founded a band with friends, played in the Clemens Rehbein bass. In spring 2012, they invited on the video platform YouTube, the first own song, which recorded almost 800,000 views within one year. With friends together they founded the record label lighttightness Records to allow the two musicians the greatest possible freedom and self-determination.
End of May 2013 published Milky chance with the help of her friends (all had to for this publication fault ) their self-produced debut album Sadnecessary, about who wrote the music express: "But be locked up so little to Milky chance in a genre so wonderful are the songs become. " In June 2013, the Milky chance meistgebloggte artist duo were ten days, according to the world's music blog hype Machine. With the title Stolen Dance they reached in August 2013 for the first time the German charts. In December 2013, the title was finally charted at number 2 in the German charts. Stolen Dance reached the top of the charts in Austria and Switzerland as well as in Poland. In the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy, there was top- ten finishes, in France the song reached # 3 in March 2014 was also placed as the second title Down by the River in the German single charts at number 44.
Concerts
Of the 15 shows of their first tour in May, 2013, designed as a promo tour for the first album were within Germany up to two (Dresden and Chemnitz) all completely sold out.
