Millard County, Utah

Millard County is a county located in the state of Utah in the United States. 2010 had Millard County 12,503 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Fillmore and the largest city is Delta.

Geography

The Millard County has an area of ​​17,684 square kilometers ( 6,828 mi ²), of which 619 square miles of water. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Juab County, Sanpete County, Sevier County, Beaver County, Lincoln County ( Nevada) and White Pine County ( Nevada).

The Sevier River flows into the Sevier Lake, a periodic water-bearing salt lake. The southeast part of the county is occupied by the volcanic field of the Black Rock Desert. History

Millard County was founded in 1852. It was named after the 13th President of the United States Millard Fillmore.
