Millard County, Utah
Millard County is a county located in the state of Utah in the United States. 2010 had Millard County 12,503 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Fillmore and the largest city is Delta.
Geography
The Millard County has an area of 17,684 square kilometers ( 6,828 mi ²), of which 619 square miles of water. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Juab County, Sanpete County, Sevier County, Beaver County, Lincoln County ( Nevada) and White Pine County ( Nevada).
The Sevier River flows into the Sevier Lake, a periodic water-bearing salt lake. The southeast part of the county is occupied by the volcanic field of the Black Rock Desert. This consists of different ancient lava fields, cinder cones and volcanic craters - including Pahvant Butte, Tabernacle Hill, Pot Mountain and Sunstone Knoll. The most recent eruption occurred around the year 1290th
History
Millard County was founded in 1852. It was named after the 13th President of the United States Millard Fillmore.

According to the census of 2000, there were 12,405 people in Millard County. There were 384 households, and 3,091 families. The population density was 1 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 93.94 % White, 0.10 % African American, 1.31 % Native American, 0.48 % Asian, 0.20 % Pacific Islander residents from the and 2.76 % from other races groups; 1.21% were descended from two or more races. 7.18% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 384 households out of which 46.10 % have children under the age of 18 living with them. 70.60 % were married couples living together, 7.10 % had a female householder with no husband. 19.50% were non-families. 18.30 % of all households and 10.10% had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or older. The average household size was 3.19 and the average family size was 3.66 persons.
Based on the county the population was spread out with 37.30 % under the age of 18, 8.00 % from 18 to 24, 22.90 % from 25 to 44 years, 19.40% between 45 and 64 years and 12.30% were 65 years old or older. The average age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 104.90 males to 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.90 males.
The median income for a household was $ 36,178, and the median income for a family was $ 41,797. Males had a median income of $ 36,989, women $ 20,168. The per capita income was $ 13,408. 13.10% of the population and 9.40% of families are below the poverty line. 17.20% of those under age 18 and 7.20 % were 65 years or older.
