Millikan (crater)

96.27

Millikan is an impact crater in the northern hemisphere of the side of the moon and therefore can not be observed directly from Earth. It is located north of the crater HG Wells and southwest of the crater from Békésy.

The outline of Millikan is essentially bounded circular and clear, but has some irregularities. In the south and east are smaller bulges where the ridge has slipped slightly inward. The crater interior walls are unstructured and have no terraces, as demonstrated by the south to smaller craters Cantor. The crater floor is drawn north of the center of relatively flat and a small, bowl -shaped crater. Offset from the center to the west rises a low central peak. Otherwise, the crater floor is scarred by a number of tiny impacts.
