Milly Scott

Milly Scott ( born December 29, 1933, Den Helder as Marion Henriette Louise Molly ) is a Dutch singer and television actress with Surinamese roots. She is the first black artist who took part in the Euro Vision Song Contest.

Milly Scott, who was previously a well-known jazz club singer who won the Dutch preliminary decision and was therefore entitled to compete at the Grand Prix Euro Vision Song Contest 1966 in Luxembourg for the Netherlands. With the humorous hit Fernando en Filippo though they went only in 15th place after the competition she remained active as a jazz singer, occasionally, she worked as an actress. Her most famous role was that detainees Baby Miller in the prison series Vrouwenvleugel radio station RTL 4 mid-1990s.
