Milmersdorf

Milmersdorf is a municipality in the district Uckermark in Brandenburg ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Gerswalde based in the municipality of the same name.

On 31 December 2001, the formerly independent municipality wholesale Kölpin was incorporated into the municipality Milmersdorf.

Geography

The Uckermark community is located in a forest and lakes area between the towns Prenzlau, Joachimsthal and Templin. The territory extends in the south to in the Schorfheide and has shares in the Biosphere Reserve Schorfheide -Chorin. The hilly region reaches near the hamlet Hohenwalde a height of 109 m above sea level. NN. The largest lake in the municipality is the Kölpinsee.

History

In 1320, the name first appears in records Mildebraderstorp. About Melmersdorp slowly developed the name Milmersdorf.

On 1 May of the year 1849, the Milmersdorfer were post expedition and station canceled due to the completion of the road from Templin to its confluence with the Berlin- Prenzlauer Chaussee. The tour of the Berlin -Prenzlauer - mail between people Templin and Prenzlau was transferred to the new direct road.

Milmersdorf in the rural region Uckermark does not have a typical village and no village grown structures. Traffic

By Milmersdorf the road from Templin leads to Eberswalde (State Road 23). It crosses here the provincial road 100 from the middle of the forest after Zerpenschleuse.
