Milo (bishop)

Milo von Trier († 761/62 ) was bishop of Trier and Reims. He was the son of Liutwin († 717) and his successor as Bishop of Trier and Reims. His great-uncle Basinus († 705 ) was also Bishop of Trier.

His brother was Wido, progenitor of the Widonen, his sister probably Rotrude of Trier, the first wife of Charles Martel, whose trailer was Milo.

Milo died in a hunting accident at Meulenwald near Trier. His grave has been able to be detected neither in the Trier Cathedral still in St. Maximin still in the parish church of Trier- Ehrang (near the accident site ).

The life and ministry leadership Milos is controversial in church history. He is regarded as enemies of the church and diocese of Boniface reforms in the Eastern Frankish Empire.
