Milovan Danojlić
Milovan Danojlić ( born July 3, 1937 in Ivanovci near Ljig in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, now Serbia) is a Serbian writer living in France today ( 2013).
Life
After completing his studies in French Serbia Danojlić went in 1984 as a lecturer in Serbo-Croatian language at the University of Poitiers in France, where he has lived ever since. Danojlić was a member of the founding committee of the Demokratska Stranka (DS ), which was the first non-communist party in Yugoslavia prior to the revolution of 1989. Since 2000 he is a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. In 1997 he received the NIN literary award for his novel Oslobodioci i izdajnici ( liberator and traitors ).
Since 2010 Danojlić is a regular author of a column in the Serbian weekly NIN.
