Milove

Milowe (Ukrainian Мілове; Russian Меловое / Melowoje ) is a location in Luhansk Oblast of the urban-type settlement in the extreme east of the Ukraine at the border crossing for lying in the Russian town of Rostov Oblast Chertkovo (Russian: Чертково ).

The village with about 5,000 inhabitants ( 2013) is the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons and lies 140 km north of Oblastzentrum Luhansk. Milove was founded in 1872 as a hamlet, is official since 1924 a village and since 1938 an urban-type settlement. The railway in the North Caucasian railway separates Milowe of the Russian Chertkovo place with the train station located there.

The managed by Milowe from Rajon Milowe was founded on December 20, 1920 and he received his present borders on 8 March 1966. The Rajon located in the northeast of the oblast and Luhansk bordered to the north and east for a distance of 94.222 kilometers to Russia. It has an area of 971.05 km ² and a population of 15,605 inhabitants ( November 2012 ). The population density is 16 inhabitants of Rajons per km ².
