Milton (horse)

Milton ( born February 16, 1977 † 4 July 1999) was a horse show jumper John Whitaker. The gray won many international show jumping tournaments.

Life and achievements

Milton was purchased in 1977 as a weanling by Caroline Bradley from the breeder John Harding - Rolls. He was the son of showjumper Marius and the mare Aston answer (of Any Question ), which occurred even in the international jumping and coming out of the mare pennywort. Milton was bred purely as a show jumper.

The young Milton was trained until her death in 1983 by Caroline Bradley. After that, he was a short time of Stephen Hadley rode until he came to the international forefront with John Whitaker.

By John Whitaker he was most successful in the years between 1985 and 1994. The gray won many international awards and was the first horse out of the racing world, winning more than 1 million British pounds as prize money.

Throughout his career, he had hardly bombings. The gelding was usually the favorite of the audience and at the end of course he often made ​​a big leap into the air. 1994 Milton finished his career after the London International Horse Show Olympia. From the magazine Horse & Hound, he was elected in 2008 as the most popular horse in Britain. Milton died on 4 July 1999. He was buried in Whitaker's farm in Yorkshire.
