Milwaukee Badgers

The Milwaukee Badgers were a professional American football team from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They played from 1922 to 1926 in the National Football League. The team played its home games at Athletic Park, later known as Borchert Field, north of Milwaukee.

After the team got out after the 1926er season, played many of its members for the independent semi -pro Milwaukee Eagles. A few of the players of this team played then (1933 ) for the Pittsburgh Pirates football team, the Steelers were later. This led many to the mistaken belief that the Badgers or the Eagles, the Steelers were.

For the Milwaukee Badgers played, among others, Paul Robeson, Johnny " Blood" McNally and Fritz Pollard. The club has been trained in the first two years of Jimmy Conzelman, later, as McNally and Pollard, into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
