Mimis Domazos

Dimitrios Domazos also Domazos Dimitris (Greek Δημήτριος Δομάζος, born January 22, 1942 in Ampelokipi, Athens ) is a former Greek football player and is generally regarded today as the best Greek football player of all time. For active times Domazos was called thanks to his appearance on the field and his game overview "General". His position was as a playmaker in the central midfield. Domazos played with the back number "10".

In the summer of 1959 Domazos moved at the age of 17 years, from amateur team Amyna Ampelokipon to top Panathinaikos Athens. For the transfer Panathinaikos paid the then total of 9,000 drachmas and thus stuck his archrival Olympiakos Piraeus, who was also ' interested in signing Damozos.

Domazos played nearly two decades at Panathinaikos and won with his club ten league titles and three Greek cup wins. During his time with the "Green " he was the undisputed captain of his team and led them to their largest ever international success. In 1971 was in London in the final of the European Champions' Cup ( 0-2 against Ajax Amsterdam) and played a few months later to Montevideo for the World Cup.

During the same period Domazos also play as a captain in the Greek national team and came up with 51 missions and four goals scored.
