Minar-e-Pakistan

The Minar -e- Pakistan ( Urdu مينار پاكستان; Minar - ĕ Pākistān; German: Minaret of Pakistan) is an approximately 60-meter- high minaret in Iqbal Park in Lahore and was completed after eight years of construction in 1968. It is the official emblem of Pakistan. It stands on the site where in 1940, seven years before the formation of Pakistan, the Muslim League, the Lahore Resolution adopted.

The Minar - e-Pakistan was designed by Turkish architect Murad Khan. The base is located approximately at a height of about 4 meters above the ground and stands 62 meters high. Well there is no structure comparable level. It looks like a flower. On the outer walls, the 99 names of Allah are listed in a special way to the base.

You could reach the top of the minaret to about 2003 stairs that run inside round, or by lift. After this has been prohibited. Every year, from December to January, a festival is held there, with many attractions such as bumper cars, Ferris wheel and other to be established. In addition to the national holidays, such as August 14, before the Minar - e-Pakistan organizes concerts of Pakistani singers, which are broadcast live partly on television.
