Minarelli

Motori Minarelli is an Italian engine manufacturer.

History

The company was founded in 1951 as a motorcycle manufacturer FBM ( Fabbrica Bolognese Motori ) in Bologna founded and is since 1956, when FB Minarelli, only two-stroke engines. 1967 was renamed to Motori Minarelli. In 2002 Minarelli was taken over by the Yamaha Corporation.

Motorcycle Racing

The Spanish World Champion Ángel Nieto drove inter alia for Minarelli and won in the motorcycle world championship in 1979 and 1981 respectively the title in the 125 cc engine capacity of the motorcycle world championship.
