Under Puzzle refers to the practice of mental discipline in the form of championships or competitions. The term is used colloquially but also often used for tricky puzzles.

Demarcation

For the definition to games that can be won by mere thought, there are various definitions. A very narrow definition is that success is determined solely by thought processes and not by luck or chance (eg chess). A wider definition counts under Puzzle and disciplines that are determined mainly by thought processes (eg continuous strategy games and watch games like Memory ).
