Mingus Mountain

Mingus Mountain is a 2,355 meter high mountain in the Black Hills mountain range in Yavapai County in the U.S. state of Arizona. It is located in the Prescott National Forest near the town of Prescott. From the mountain you can enjoy a good view of the Verde Valley and the cities of Cottonwood, Jerome and Clarkdale. There are campsites.

According to the book "Roadside History of Arizona " by Marshall Trimble, the " Mingus Mountain" two brothers who settled in the 1880s in the area and later built a sawmill near the base of the mountain was named after Joseph and Jacob Mingus.
