Minh Ly

Minh Ly ( born March 24, 1967 in Vietnam ) is an American- Vietnamese professional poker player. Ly currently resides in Temple City, California.

Career

His first notable placement at the World Series of Poker, he reached in 2001 when he finished third in a tournament and received about $ 50,000 for it. In the same year he reached yet another placement in prize money.

The following year, he was ninth in the main event, for which he pocketed $ 85,000.

In the World Series of Poker 2005 Ly had four cashes. In a tournament, he only had to concede defeat Doyle Brunson. In the main event of 2005, Ly was able to secure 19th place.

In addition, Minh Ly won on 18 October 2005, the Second Doyle Brunson North American Poker Championship, where he was able to prevail against Dan Harrington in the heads up. The victory in this World Poker Tour event earned him $ 1,060,500.

In official tournaments he took up in 2014, a $ 3,800,000 over.

Besides his playing accomplishments Minh Ly is known as a cash game specialist. So, he took part at about the second season of High Stakes Poker. He regularly plays in the Big Game at the Bellagio.
