The Miniature Pinscher, due to the color reminiscent of a deer also called Rehpinscher, is recognized by the FCI German breed (FCI Group 2, Section 1.1, Standard No. 185).

Origin and History

In 1895 Josef Berta called for the establishment of a Pinscher Club. At the time there were two clubs in Germany, the united then. Until the early years of the 20th century were in the throws still rough and smooth haired puppies together. Josef Berta started with pure breeding. Only then did the distinction between pinschers and schnauzers.

Description

" The Miniature Pinscher is a reduced image of the German Pinscher without the draw of a dwarfed appearance. " This coat is smooth, very short and without undercoat. The head is strong, long without markedly protruding occiput. The tip of the nose is full and black; the lips are good and are dark colored. The ears are set high, V-shaped, carried evenly upright with hinged fold or pricked ears.

Nature

The Miniature Pinscher is a very affectionate dog and tends to closely connect a single person. It is of great curiosity with a strong urge to move. Underemployment tends to breed these nervousness. Therefore, they must be demanded both mentally and physically adequate. This can be accomplished with hikes, longer trips, but also dog sports such as agility or Dogdancing. From the character of the Miniature Pinscher is very attentive and has a low threshold.

Literature and Film

Theodor Fontane mentioned in the novel The Stechlin the Pinscher as an eager rat and mouse traps. In the film adaptation of the novel The Third Man Baron Kurtz holds a Miniature Pinscher in arm with Dr. emerges later angle and subtly suggests by his unexpected presence of complicity.
