Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Egypt)

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Arabic وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات ) is the Media and Information Technology Ministry of Egypt.

Egypt maintains since 1954 the "United States Information Service " (SIS ) of the Ministry of Information, with 32 foreign and 65 domestic offices and 29 press centers. Chief of this office was to 15 February 2008 Ayman el- Qaffas, son of the chief of intelligence Omar Suleiman, he was succeeded by Ismail Khairat. The Information Minister Anas Ahmed Nabih El- Fiqqi was filed on February 12, 2011 under house arrest and resigned from his post.

After the revolution in 2011, it was re-constituted in its present form.
