Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kazakhstan)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan ( Kazakh Қазақстан Республикасының Сыртқы істер министрлігі, Russian Министерство иностранных дел Республики Казахстан, English Ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan ), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and one of 18 ministries of Kazakhstan. Minister since September 2012 Jerlan Ydyryssow.

General

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the central executive body of the Kazakh government. It implements the foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and forwards the diplomatic missions of Kazakhstan. The Minister is appointed and dismissed by the Kazakh president.

The tasks of the Foreign Ministry were defined in Regulation 1118 the Kazakh government on 28 October 2004.

The Department also maintains the International Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee for CIS Affairs of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Committee on Investments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
