Minke Booij

Minke Booij Gertine ( born January 24, 1977 in Zaanstad ) is a Dutch hockey player who has graduated more than 150 international matches since their debut in the Dutch national hockey team on September 9, 1998. Minke Booij 's defender and plays for HC Den Bosch in the Hoofdklasse.

Booij won the Dutch national hockey team at the Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000 and the bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, the silver medal. In the Field Hockey Women's World Cup 2006 she was team captain of the national team and became world champion. In the same year she was awarded as world hockey player. In the 2008 Olympics she won the gold medal.

She was also selected as the 2005/2006 season the best player. In the Hoofdklasse she was awarded the HC Den Bosch eleven times (1998 to 2008) by Dutch masters.
