Minnesota Moose

The Minnesota Moose were an American ice hockey franchise in the International Hockey League from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Your venue was most of the time the Saint Paul Civic Center. In addition, they wore single home games at Target Center in Minneapolis.

History

The Minnesota Moose were founded in 1994 as a franchise of the International Hockey League. In their first season 1994 /95, the Moose reached the fourth place in the Central Division of the IHL. Thus they were able to successfully qualify for the play- offs. There, the team was eliminated in the first round. In the following year the Moose won 30 games and thus brought 67 points. Thus, they were placed on the fifth and final rank of the Midwest Division. For the final competition, the Moose could not qualify. In summer 1996, the team moved into the Canadian province of Manitoba to Winnipeg.
