The Mingteke Pass or Mingteke Daban (Chinese明 铁盖 达坂/明 铁盖 达坂, Pinyin Míngtiěgě Dábǎn ), and Mintaka Pass is a mountain pass in the far east of the Hindu Kush. It connects the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the far west of the People 's Republic of China and Kashmir in Pakistan. It is 4703 m high. On the Chinese side, he is in the area of the greater community Mingteke (明 铁盖Chinese, Pinyin Mingtiegai ) in the south of the Tajik Autonomous Okrug Taxkorgan. Before the opening of the Karakoram Highway over the Kunjirap Pass was the main link Mingteke, as this area remained longer snow-free. However, when also the glaciated Mingteke, the Kilik Pass was favored by the porters and pack animals.

The new Karakoram Highway continues south along and then east across the Khunjirap pass, because due to its proximity to the Soviet Union it was decided against Mingteke as a border crossing.
