Career

Association

Soler celebrated his professional debut in the 1983/84 season at Espanyol and developed after his loan to l' Hospitalet CE as an important player. In his fourth season, he reached the third place in the Spanish league and the finals of the UEFA Cup, in which he lost with his team against Bayer 04 Leverkusen with his club.

In the 1988/89 season Soler moved to neighbors FC Barcelona in his first season where he won the same European Cup Winners' Cup. In the season 1991/92 he moved to Atlético Madrid, but returned in the following season back to Barcelona.

After two seasons at FC Sevilla Soler moved in 1995 to Real Madrid. With 33 year he signed his last contract with RCD Mallorca, but where he still played for another five years, and even once the Copa del Rey won. At the age of 38 years he finished his playing career with 12 goals in 504 games, which means División 6th place in the record player table in the Primera.

National

Soler graduated from 1987 to 1991 nine caps for the Spanish national football team. He made his debut at the 1988 European Championship qualifying match on 29 April 1987 in Bucharest at the 3-1 defeat against Romania.
