Miracle on 34th Street (1994 film)

The Miracle of Manhattan ( Miracle on 34th Street) is an American comedy film directed by Les Mayfield from the year 1994. It is a remake of the film of the same name from 1947.

Action

Due to the short-term release of the annual Christmas parade of the department store " Cole " recruited " Santa Claus " Kris Kringle has to step in and is very well accepted by the audience. In the film there are hints that Kringle lives in a nursing home. Due to this success the executive floor of the financially troubled company suspects a great holiday season. Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times of 18 November 1994, the film could not simply replace the film from the year 1947. He was, however, " sweet ", " amiable " and " kind-hearted ".

The lexicon of international film wrote that the film was " dragged out ". He would " Humor " and " stress " are missing, the representations were " disappointing ". The message of the film was criticized as " clumsy " and " hypocritical ".
